It's April 2020 and as we all know, everyone is in quarantine. We have been home for well over a month. I cook a lot and there are tons of things I have always wanted to try, but before quarantine, my extra time was almost non-existent. One drink that we have all loved, but never had the time to try to make was Horchata.
“What Is Horchata? Horchata is a delicious rice (or coconut) based drink that you can find at most Mexican restaurants in the United States and abroad.”
We have tons of great cookbooks and found a recipe to try. After soaking the rice overnight, the process was quick and the horchata was delicious. Even though we doubled the recipe, we are pretty much out just two days later. Gotta wait till our next "essential" grocery trip for more ingredients. LOL!
